It's time for 'Byte of Texas'! For all of you folks who don't know, 'Byte of Texas' is a conference in Austin for food bloggers like myself! It may not look tough, kids, but this food blogging thing is serious business! At the Byte of Texas conference, some of the best people in the biz will meet up in Austin and show us how it's done!
All of the speakers scheduled for the weekend look really awesome! They'll have panels on photography, social media ethics, writing, creating brands and more. I'm particularly excited about hearing from Lisa Fain of The Homesick Texan and Jeanine Donofrio of Love & Lemons.
They'll also have some pretty great food for us to try! Saturday night involves dinner at the Salty Sow and Sunday's 'Breakfast Taco Brunch' is sponsored by the Texas Beef Council! Who knew that there was a council for beef?! I don't know about you folks, but that's something that I need to be apart of! I'm imagining a cow dressed up as a judge in a courtroom, leading the Beef Council. I doubt that's exactly what it is, but a kid can dream, right?
Aside from that, I'm excited to get the chance to hang out with fellow food bloggers who appreciate delicious yums as much as I do! The Julia Child quote comes to mind, "People who love to eat are always the best people." I tend to agree with you Jules!
If you're a food blogger, you need to make your way out to Austin for the 'Byte of Texas' conference 9/27-9/28! If you're not a food blogger, you'll just have to live vicariously through me, as I'm sure I'll be posting lots of fun photos throughout the weekend. I'll try to save you a taco or two. That is...if the Beef Council allows it! Take it easy, kids and enjoy your weekend!
