Why Chocolate Banana Dessert Is The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread!
July 29, 2014
I have every confidence that sliced bread was the 'it' thing for a long time. I'm sure it was pretty embarrassing going out on dates back in the day knowing that if the waiter put bread in front of you, you were going to look like a pig in front of your date because you'd have to eat the ENTIRE loaf in front of her. So yes, the eventual slicing of the bread was important, and I'm not afraid to give credit where credit is due. But the whole sliced bread thing has been around for awhile now, and I just think it's a bit passé. If you really want to know what the best thing is since sliced bread (and in my mind, perhaps even better), I'd have to say it's the Neznik Family Chocolate Banana Dessert.
Do not let the common name fool you...this beast is anything buy common. This decadent meal ender is typically seen in a 9x13 baking dish. Clear is preferred here so that you can see the layers of awesomeness awaiting your taste buds before you plate your first piece. We start with a homemade graham cracker crust, followed by repeating layers of chocolate pudding, doctored whipped cream, sliced bananas, and a little more graham cracker on top to finish things off. It's a perfect marriage of all things yummy, and if you're on a diet, don't fret...it has bananas in it, so obviously it's healthy.
